Ada MP criticises party members over planned demonstration against gov't
The Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe Ghansah, has criticised some party members of the National Democratic Congress over what she describes as their support for a planned demonstration against the current government.
In a strongly worded statement hosted on Facebook, the MP questioned the consistency of critics who, according to her, remained silent during the previous administration but are now mobilising against the present government despite ongoing road projects in the Ada area.
She alleged that the construction of the Kasseh to Ada Foah road was halted in 2017 during the previous administration under the pretext of investigations, leading to a stagnation of road development in the constituency.
According to her, the current administration has begun constructing inner-city roads in Ada within its first year and a half in office, a sign she says reflects renewed commitment to infrastructure development.
The MP expressed disappointment that some individuals aligned with the governing party are reportedly joining the opposition in organising demonstrations against their own government.
She described the situation as inconsistent and questioned the motives of those involved, insisting that party loyalty should also reflect recognition of ongoing development efforts.
