Afigya Kwabre South MCE promises major development drive in 2026
The Municipal Chief Executive for Afigya Kwabre South in the Ashanti Region, Madam Patricia Pearl Ankrah, has assured residents of a year of significant development in 2026, backed by what she described as a strong pipeline of projects across the district.
Speaking at a media engagement, Hon. Ankrah expressed confidence that the municipality is on the brink of major transformation, stressing that her administration’s overarching goal is to position Afigya Kwabre South among the top-performing districts in the country.
She indicated that key areas slated for improvement include road infrastructure, street lighting, security systems, educational facilities and other social amenities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Reflecting on her time in office since her appointment, the Municipal Chief Executive pointed to a number of completed projects as evidence of the Assembly’s commitment to development and its readiness to deliver on the ambitious plans for 2026.
Hon. Ankrah explained that her development agenda is anchored on equity, ensuring that all communities within the district benefit fairly from government interventions and resources.
She also appealed to residents to support the development drive by cooperating with contractors and officials of the Assembly, noting that such collaboration is crucial to the smooth and timely execution of projects earmarked for the coming year.
