The Minister of Justice and Attorney-General, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has dismissed allegations that cases being prosecuted under the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative have been compromised.

He clarified that no plea bargaining or negotiated settlements have been entered into with any individuals implicated under the ORAL programme, stressing that the integrity of the process remains intact.

Dr. Ayine gave the assurance on Thursday, February 5, during a courtesy visit by the Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, to the Ministry of Justice.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to justice and accountability, the Attorney-General said all ORAL-related prosecutions are being conducted strictly in accordance with the law.

“ORAL is progressing very well,” Dr. Ayine stated.

“The prosecutions, led by my deputy and the Director of Public Prosecutions, are advancing effectively.

I want to place it on record—and the National Intelligence Bureau will confirm—that no docket submitted to this office has been compromised in any way.”

He further emphasised that no plea deals have been struck with any suspects whose cases fall within the scope of the intelligence and prosecutorial reviews conducted under the ORAL initiative.

The Attorney-General’s remarks were aimed at addressing public concerns and reinforcing confidence in the government’s anti-corruption efforts.
