Focus on delivering results that positively impact citizens- Vice President to NDC appointees
Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has called on government officials and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain committed to implementing policies and programmes that improve the lives of Ghanaians.
She made the appeal during the commemoration of the June 4 Uprising at Banda-Ahenkro, where she reflected on the historical significance of the event and its enduring relevance to governance and public service.
According to the Vice President, the ideals that inspired the June 4 movement were rooted in the desire to address governance challenges and promote accountability, equity, and national development.
She stressed that these principles should continue to guide the actions of public office holders and party members.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang urged NDC supporters and government appointees to focus on delivering results that positively impact citizens rather than being distracted from the administration’s development agenda.
She highlighted ongoing investments in critical sectors such as roads, healthcare, and education as clear evidence of the government's commitment to improving the welfare of Ghanaians and ensuring that national resources are used for the benefit of all.
The Vice President noted that sustainable development requires dedication, hard work, and a shared commitment to addressing the needs of the people, adding that government remains focused on implementing policies that create opportunities and improve living standards across the country.
The June 4 commemoration brought together party faithful, government officials, traditional leaders, and residents to reflect on the legacy of the uprising and its contribution to Ghana’s democratic and governance journey.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reaffirmed the government's commitment to inclusive development and urged citizens to support efforts aimed at building a prosperous and equitable society.
