For the sake of the soul and spirit of NPP, vote Bryan Acheampong -Yeboah to delegates
Yaw Yeboah, a member of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign team, has made a strong appeal to delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to rally behind the former Minister of Food and Agriculture, describing him as the most unifying and winnable candidate ahead of the party’s 2026 presidential primary.
Speaking on Accra-based Kessben, Mr. Yeboah argued that the NPP is currently in a fragile state following its defeat in the 2024 general elections and needs a leader capable of rebuilding the party and returning it to power in 2028.
According to him, Dr. Acheampong possesses the leadership qualities, resources and broad appeal required to revive the party from what he described as its “lowest point.”
He maintained that party delegates must elect a candidate who can mount a credible challenge against the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), stressing that the 2026 primary presents a critical opportunity for the NPP to reposition itself for victory.
Mr. Yeboah said a vote for Dr. Acheampong would mark the beginning of what he termed a “rescue mission” for the party.
Mr. Yeboah also highlighted Dr. Acheampong’s contributions to the party in recent elections, noting that the Abetifi Member of Parliament provided significant financial and logistical support to the NPP’s 2024 presidential campaign, as well as to several parliamentary candidates, particularly in the Eastern Region.
Describing Dr. Acheampong as the party’s best option going into the 2028 general elections, Mr. Yeboah argued that the NPP cannot afford to present a candidate who has already been “overwhelmingly rejected” by the electorate.
He urged delegates to consider electability and unity in their decision-making.
He concluded by calling on NPP delegates to vote for Dr. Bryan Acheampong, who appears as number two on the ballot, when they go to the polls on January 31, 2026, insisting that he represents the party’s strongest chance of reclaiming power.
