Gov't reaffirms commitment to inclusive governance – Deputy Chief of Staff

The Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of Administration, Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, has reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering inclusive governance through closer collaboration with Civil Society Organisations.
Speaking at a multi-stakeholder engagement organised by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana), Nana Oye emphasised that transparency, participatory governance, and citizen-centred policymaking are at the heart of the John Mahama-led administration’s “Reset Agenda.”
“Our approach to governance is not just inclusive—it is also accountable and effective,” she noted, highlighting the administration's commitment to ensuring that citizens play an active role in shaping national policies.
She disclosed that, over the past four months, the government has taken deliberate and strategic steps to bring governance closer to the people, with initiatives aimed at increasing civic participation and improving accountability at all levels.
Commending CDD-Ghana for their research and policy recommendations, Nana Oye described the organisation as a “strategic instrument of policy co-creation.”
“They embody our renewed social contract with the people of Ghana—one grounded in dialogue, transparency, and results,” she stated.
The event brought together key stakeholders from government, civil society, and academia to discuss ways of strengthening democratic governance and citizen engagement in policymaking.
