Isaac Nlason elected GSL SRC President as Ghana School of Law announces 2026 student leaders

The Ghana School of Law (GSL) has announced the results of its 2026 Students’ Representative Council (SRC) elections, with Isaac Nlason emerging as the newly elected President.

The elections, held on Friday, May 22, 2026, saw students across the various campuses elect national executives, vice-presidents, and congress members to lead the SRC for the new academic year.

According to the official results released by the Electoral Commission of the Ghana School of Law, Isaac Nlason secured 1,171 votes to win the presidential race.

Alexis Laura was elected General Secretary with 1,291 votes, while Kofi Tagbor won the position of Organising Secretary after polling 1,377 votes.

Georgina Badombie recorded the highest votes among the national executives, securing 1,862 votes to become Treasurer.

For the Vice-President positions across the various campuses, Nana Kwame Mensa-Abrompa Tumanyi won the Accra Main/Makola slot with 299 votes, while Amanda Offieba Nyante secured victory at the UPSA campus with 305 votes.

At the GIMPA campus, Yaw Koram Awuku-Asabre emerged victorious with 410 votes, while Abraham Rockson Kwarteng won the KNUST Kumasi campus position with 222 votes.

The elections also produced congress members for the four campuses of the Ghana School of Law.

At the Accra Main/Makola campus, the elected congress members were Havi Delasi Justice, Yaa Oforiwaa Obeng, Reesica Esi Dovi Adams, Nketiah Emmanuel, and Abraham Njonaan Nlenkiba.

For the UPSA campus, students elected Ama Owusuaah Asamoah, Ankomah Thelma Takyiwaa, Yaa Mansah Acheampong Oduro, Success Nmaat-Sumahem Ziba, and Nshiraba Akasi Arthibah.

At the GIMPA campus, Jael Godfreda Quarshie, Juliet Amoabea Lartey, Erica Amma Sapomaa Larbi Sarpong, Jill Delali Alomatu, and Augustine Kwame Badu were elected as congress members.

Meanwhile, students at the KNUST Kumasi campus elected Paa Kojo Adom Kwaitoo, Daryl Nii Armah Amaah, Yvette Efua Essien, Maxwell Hudi Cheye, and Mercy Frimpomaah Appiah Snr. as their representatives.

 

The newly elected officers are expected to steer student leadership and advocacy across the various campuses of the Ghana School of Law during the 2026 academic year.
