NDC Greater Accra Constituency Organisers demand fair share of appointments

Constituency organisers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra Region are calling on President John Dramani Mahama and the party’s national leadership to recognise their contributions by allocating a fair share of government appointments to them.
At a press conference held in Accra, the organisers expressed frustration over what they described as continued neglect and lack of recognition despite their critical role in securing electoral victories for the party.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Mr. Gad Nene Ackwreh, the NDC Ada East Constituency Organiser, urged President Mahama to act swiftly to address their concerns.
“We are calling on President Mahama to immediately address this matter and ensure that the organisers who sacrificed their time, energy, and mindset to ensure the success of the election get what is due to them,” Mr. Ackwreh said.
He emphasised that the efforts of Constituency Organisers were instrumental in mobilising grassroots support and ensuring voter turnout, which significantly contributed to the party's success.
“We want the parliamentarians to know that without us, the organisers, they might not have received the votes they had,” he added.
The organisers appealed to the party leadership to correct what they described as a longstanding oversight, warning that continued neglect could affect morale and party unity going forward.
