13-year-old boy allegedly murdered in Akyem Osiem-Kyekyewere
Akyem Osiem-Kyekyewere, a community in the Abuakwa North Municipality of the Eastern Region, has been thrown into mourning following the tragic death of a 13-year-old boy, Richmond K. Antony, popularly known as "Paa."
The incident occurred on the evening of Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
According to the victim’s father, Richmond had gone out around 7:00 p.m. to buy food but returned home moments later with multiple cutlass wounds on his body, crying out in pain.
He was rushed to the Hawa Memorial Hospital in Osiem, but tragically, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The case has been reported to the Akyem New Tafo Police Command, who have since launched a full investigation into the suspected murder.
Authorities are appealing to the public for calm and cooperation as they work to uncover the identity of the assailant and the motive behind the attack.
Police say further updates will be provided as investigations progress.
Meanwhile, the community remains in shock over the senseless killing of the young boy.
