Police have arrested a pastor and two other individuals over an alleged attempt to bury a six-month-old child alive at Abofremu, sparking outrage within the local community.

The suspect, Richmond Akwasi Frimpong, founder of the Anointed Grace Prayer Ministry at Kuffour’s Camp, was apprehended alongside three alleged accomplices—identified as Akwasi Ny3si3 Donkor and Sister Ama—following reports of suspicious activity.

Authorities were alerted after concerned residents noticed unusual behaviour by the group.

The motive behind the alleged act remains unclear, but the incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing anger and disbelief.

Traditional authorities have also weighed in on the matter.

Nana Yaw Badu, speaking on behalf of the Abofremu Traditional Council, described the development as disturbing and called for thorough investigations to ensure justice is served.

The suspects are currently in police custody assisting with investigations and are expected to face formal charges.

Meanwhile, residents have called on law enforcement agencies to ensure accountability and safeguard the welfare of children in the community.
