100 buses: Jomoro MP pushes for urgent road infrastructure upgrade
The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Costiteuncy and Deputy Minister for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Tofey, has announced that government has secured 100 buses to help ease congestion across the country, as part of efforts to improve Ghana’s transport system.
According to the MP, the buses have already arrived in the country and are expected to be deployed soon to support public transportation and reduce pressure on existing services.
She noted that the acquisition of the buses reflects sustained efforts by government to address transportation challenges, particularly in urban centres where congestion remains a major concern.

Turning attention to road infrastructure, the MP described the state of roads in the Jomoro constituency as deplorable, citing widespread potholes and safety risks for motorists and residents.
She assured constituents that addressing the poor road network has become an immediate priority, following numerous complaints from residents over the weekend.
The Deputy Minister emphasized that government remains committed to improving road conditions in the area, adding that efforts are underway to ensure lasting solutions.
She also called for continued public support and cooperation as authorities work to tackle infrastructure challenges and improve living conditions in the constituency.
