V/R: Agotime Ziope MP emphasis pledge to deliver on development promises
The Member of Parliament for Agotime Ziope Constituency, Charles Agbeve, has assured residents that he will fulfill his campaign promises and deliver the development they voted for.
He said constituents should expect significant improvements under his leadership and that of President John Dramani Mahama, noting that plans are underway to make the constituency better than in previous years.
According to the MP, several projects are currently ongoing, including the construction of schools, CHPS compounds, roads, and nurses’ bungalows. He added that some of these projects will soon be commissioned, in line with his campaign commitments.
Mr Agbeve, who toured project sites with the District Chief Executive, Alfred Klu Odikro, urged residents to maintain confidence in him, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the President. He also commended President Mahama for allocating District Assemblies Common Fund resources to support development across districts.
Beyond infrastructure, the MP highlighted efforts in education and social support, stating that scholarships have been secured for brilliant but needy students at the senior high and tertiary levels. He added that he has also supported vulnerable residents by paying school fees and other bills.
On employment, he noted that many young people have been engaged, with others enrolled in programmes such as the National Apprenticeship Programme, National Youth Authority initiatives, including community policing and service assistance, and other youth employment schemes aimed at reducing unemployment in the constituency.
Some chiefs, elders, and residents who spoke to the media expressed appreciation to the MP, the District Chief Executive, and the NDC government for their efforts, noting that many communities have benefited from the projects.
They also highlighted the importance of the CHPS compounds under construction, saying they will improve access to healthcare, especially for pregnant women who often have to travel long distances at night during labour.
The chiefs and elders pledged their continued support for the MP and the NDC, commending President Mahama for his role in the development initiatives.
