NDC Organizers in Central Region urge Mahama to revive abandoned projects
The 23 National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Organizers in the Central Region have called on President John Dramani Mahama to revive all abandoned projects in the region that have been left to deteriorate since 2016.
Addressing a press conference, Kojo Mensah, Dean of the NDC Organizers in the Central Region and Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency Organizer, emphasized the need for President Mahama to resume and complete all stalled projects left neglected under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.
The organizers specifically mentioned:
Komenda Sugar Factory Elmina Fishing and Processing Factory Anomabo Fisheries College Teacher and Nursing Training College in Ajumako BiseaseAccording to them, these key infrastructural projects were initiated by the NDC government between 2012 and 2016 but were abandoned by the Nana Akufo-Addo administration, leaving them to rot in the bush.
They believe reviving these projects will boost the local economy and create employment opportunities for the people of the Central Region.
Speaking in an interview, Joseph Abekah, Central Regional Organizer of the NDC, assured party supporters that their grievances and challenges would be addressed.
He called on all party organizers to remain committed and work harder, stressing that the NDC is determined to retain power for the next 16 years.
Abekah further stated that the party is focused on winning more parliamentary seats in the 2028 elections to consolidate its dominance in the region
