Police applauds NPP, NDC for peaceful final rallies
The Ghana Police Service has commended the New Patriotic Party (NPP), the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and their supporters for their cooperation before and during the event which led to the peaceful and successful conclusion of their final rallies in Accra, yesterday, 5th December 2024.
In a statement released, Friday, December 6, the police also expressed gratitude to the general public, particularly the motoring public, for their cooperation, patience, and understanding during the road diversions and blockages implemented to manage traffic for the two special events.
Furthermore, the leadership of the police administration acknowledged and appreciated the dedication and professionalism of all officers deployed to maintain law, order, peace and security during these special events.
“Additionally, as the nation approaches the elections, tomorrow, 7th December 2024, we urge the political parties, their supporters and all stakeholders to maintain the same level of discipline, unity, and patriotism for our beloved Country Ghana for a peaceful election,” the police said.
“The Ghana Police Service reaffirms its commitment to ensuring a peaceful, safe, and orderly election, tomorrow, 7th December 2024.”
