Those who give you money to vote for them don't respect you – Alan Kyerematen tells Ghanaians
Independent Presidential Candidate and leader of the Movement for Change, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has called on Ghanaians to reject any political party that offers money in exchange for votes in the upcoming December 7, elections.
Addressing enthusiastic supporters at Obogu in the Asante Akim South Constituency, Mr. Kyerematen expressed his disapproval of politicians who attempt to buy votes after neglecting the people for years.
He emphasized that such actions are disrespectful to voters.
“They will come and share things for you to vote for them.
They will come with money, but think about it twice,” Mr. Kyerematen cautioned.
“If, after all these years, they didn’t come to you, and now they are offering money, it simply shows they don’t respect you.”
In his powerful address, which stirred emotions among the people of Obogu, Mr. Kyerematen highlighted the true purpose of politics—improving lives.
He urged voters to reject the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) if they have seen no progress during their time in power.
“Politics is about development. If the country has not moved forward under their leadership, then we need to change them,” he said.
Mr. Kyerematen is currently on a 19-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, where he hopes to make a significant impact in the December 7 polls.
