2026 FIFA W C Trophy lands in Washington DC ahead of Dec 5 final draw
The countdown is officially on as the 2026 FIFA World Cup Trophy has touched down in Washington DC, igniting massive excitement across the United States, one-third of the hosts.
Football’s most coveted prize made a dazzling tour of the US capital, stopping at some of Washington’s most iconic landmarks ahead of the highly anticipated Final Draw on Friday, December 5.
The trophy’s grand moment came today, however, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at the historic John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, where FIFA Legend Rio Ferdinand and FIFA officials welcomed the media for an exclusive first look at the stunning draw hall.
Ferdinand, brimming with pride, shared his thrill as he gets ready to co-host the landmark 48-team final draw with celebrated broadcaster Samantha Johnson tomorrow.
Adding even more star power to the spectacle is a dream-team lineup of draw assistants — Tom Brady, Wayne Gretzky, Aaron Judge, and Shaquille O’Neal — representing a blockbuster blend of sporting greatness. Special guest Eli Manning will also bring his charisma to the event as the red-carpet host.
Together with the US, Canada, and Mexico will host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
