Amasaman MP launches first Constituency Football Gala to uncover talent and promote unity
The Member of Parliament for Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mr Sedem Afenyo, has unveiled the maiden edition of the MP’s Constituency Football Gala, an annual sporting initiative designed to develop young talent and strengthen community cohesion.
According to the MP, the gala forms part of his broader vision to harness the constituency’s rich reservoir of youthful potential while promoting sports, recreation, and healthy entertainment.
The event is expected to bring together football teams from communities across Amasaman, creating a platform to identify and nurture raw football talent for future professional and national opportunities.
Mr. Afenyo noted that beyond sports development, the gala is also aimed at fostering unity, teamwork, and peaceful coexistence, all of which are essential ingredients for sustainable development within the constituency.
The MP expressed optimism that the tournament will grow into a flagship community event, inspiring young people and energising local development efforts year after year.
