Antoine Semenyo: Representing Ghana is always an honour

Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has expressed his pride in representing Ghana, stating that it is always an honour to receive a national team call-up.
The Bournemouth striker emphasized his commitment to the team, revealing that the only reason he would miss a national assignment is due to injury.
Semenyo was among the goal scorers in Ghana’s recent 5-0 victory over Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Having now made 27 appearances for the Black Stars, he remains grateful for every opportunity to wear the national colors.
"It's an honour; I always want to be part of the national team," he told SuperSport.
"The only thing that will ever stop me is obviously injury, but I always try to make myself available.
"I always want to play for the nation.
It's been a dream of mine from a young age, so anytime I get called up, it’s an honour."
After netting his third goal for Ghana across all competitions, Semenyo will now shift his focus back to club football, hoping to continue his fine form when Bournemouth faces Manchester City in the FA Cup this weekend.
