Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has expressed his gratitude to Team Ghana Liaison Officer Mabel Addai and the Providence Police Command for their assistance to the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Accompanied by Ghana's Ambassador to the United States, Victor Emmanuel Smith, Mr. Okraku paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Addai and members of the Providence Police Command following the national team's arrival in Rhode Island on Thursday.

The GFA President stated that the visit was intended to recognize the efforts of the officials and institutions supporting the Ghanaian delegation during the tournament.

"I expressed my sincere appreciation to Ms. Addai for her dedication and tireless coordination in facilitating arrangements for Team Ghana," Mr. Okraku said. "I also commend the Providence Police Command for their professionalism, partnership, and readiness to support our delegation throughout this important global tournament."

The Black Stars landed at T.F. Green International Airport on Thursday evening to begin the final phase of their World Cup preparations. The team will train in Providence before traveling to Toronto for their Group L opening match against Panama on June 17. Ghana's subsequent group stage matches will be against England in Boston and Croatia in Philadelphia.

Ms. Addai has been managing logistics, accommodation, and security arrangements for the delegation since their arrival in the U.S. Meanwhile, the Providence Police Command is collaborating with Team Ghana's security personnel to ensure the safety of the team during their stay in Rhode Island.

The courtesy call is part of a series of ongoing engagements by GFA leadership as tournament preparations continue.
