Queiroz to decide Ati Zigi’s fitness after final assessment ahead of England clash
Head coach Carlos Queiroz has confirmed that a final decision on Lawrence Ati Zigi's fitness will be made following a final medical assessment tomorrow.
The goalkeeper continues to undergo treatment after sustaining an injury during Ghana's 1-0 victory over Panama in their opening match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Despite participating in recent training sessions, Ati Zigi is racing against time to secure his starting spot for the upcoming Group L fixture against England. If he is unable to feature, Benjamin Asare remains the primary option to start in goal for the Black Stars.
Ghana faces England on Tuesday, June 23, at the Boston Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, with both teams looking to build on their opening group-stage victories.
