Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang attends Global Gateway Forum in Brussels

Ghana’s Vice President, Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, is in Brussels, Belgium, together with other government officials, to participate in the 2025 edition of the Global Gateway Forum — a flagship initiative of the European Union (EU).
The two-day forum, taking place from October 9 to 10, 2025, brings together Heads of State and Government, business leaders, civil society representatives, and key financial institutions to deliberate on the future of strategic global partnerships in an increasingly multipolar world.
This year’s discussions are centred on advancing global connectivity amid mounting geopolitical and geoeconomic challenges. Participants are expected to explore ways to strengthen collaboration in infrastructure, digital technology, renewable energy, health, and education.
The Global Gateway initiative represents the EU’s strategic framework to promote smart, clean, and secure connections across digital, energy, and transport sectors while supporting resilient systems in health, education, and research worldwide.
Through the Forum, the European Union aims to mobilise up to €300 billion in investments to drive sustainable and inclusive global growth.
