A/R: 24-year-old momo vendor murdered in Kwadaso

A 24-year-old mobile money vendor, identified only as Junior, has been brutally murdered in his one-room apartment at Kwadaso in the Ashanti Region.
Unknown assailants allegedly attacked the victim and fled with an undisclosed sum of money.
The deceased, who operated a MoMo business at the Kwadaso Onion Market, was discovered in a pool of blood inside his room.
Eyewitnesses believe he may have been targeted due to the large sums of cash he often carried home.
"He mostly comes home with huge sums of money after closing from work," a neighbour revealed.
"He probably caught the attention of the robbers, leading to his attack."
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, but no arrests have been made so far.
This tragedy follows a similar case last month, when a 27-year-old MoMo vendor, Patricia Nimako, was shot dead at Krofrom in Kumasi. Armed robbers reportedly stole GHS 10,000 and mobile phones during that attack.
Residents of Kwadaso are calling on the Ashanti Regional Police Command to increase security presence in the community to curb rising crime.
"We are currently living in fear, and we urge the police to beef up security in Kwadaso," a concerned resident appealed.
