Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa-Mensah earns scholarship to study law at UCONN

In 2025, Okatakyie Kwame Afrifa-Mensah was awarded a prestigious scholarship to pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree at the University of Connecticut (UCONN) in the United States of America.
Afrifa-Mensah, who graduated with one of the highest GPAs at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), was selected among a distinguished group of students for the UCONN–GIMPA exchange programme.
The one-year LL.M. programme provides advanced academic training in law, equipping graduates with specialised knowledge and global exposure.
Upon completion, Afrifa-Mensah will also be eligible to sit for the United States Bar Examinations, paving the way to being called to the U.S. Bar if successful.
This milestone not only highlights Afrifa-Mensah’s academic excellence and commitment to legal scholarship but also underscores the expanding academic partnerships between Ghanaian institutions and leading universities worldwide.
