Suhum MCE donates building materials to Akorabo Islamic School

The Suhum Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region, under the leadership of Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Miss Lydia Ohenewa Sarah, has donated 30 bags of cement and a quantity of iron sheets to the Suhum Akorabo Islamic School to help improve its infrastructure and security.
The gesture followed an appeal from the school authorities for assistance in addressing pressing structural challenges. Presenting the items personally, Ms. Ohenewa Sarah urged the school management to put the materials to immediate use, particularly to reinforce the “falling walls” of the school building.
“The current state of the structure poses a danger to the pupils and allows distractions from animals and intruders.
It is important that these materials are used quickly to secure the school premises and safeguard the children,” she said in an interview with Accra FM/CTV News reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel.
The MCE reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to supporting education in the municipality and assured that more interventions would be made in the future to enhance learning conditions.
She also appealed to Suhum indigenes living abroad, as well as stakeholders, NGOs, and corporate bodies, to support efforts in addressing the development needs of the municipality.
