Sunyani Assembly decongest city today

The Sunyani Municipal Assembly will this morning commence a major decongestion exercise at the Sunyani Central Business District (CBD).
According to the Assembly, the exercise has become necessary due to the growing practice of traders encroaching on major roads within the CBD, a situation that poses serious risks to human lives and disrupts smooth traffic flow.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Vincent Antwi Adjei, announced that the Assembly has provided alternative spaces for traders to operate in a safer and more organised environment.
He added that an alternative car park has also been created to support drivers who usually park along the roadside.
Mr. Adjei noted that the decongestion exercise will continue throughout the year despite the challenges expected. He therefore appealed to all stakeholders, including traders and drivers, to cooperate with the Assembly to ensure the success of the initiative.
