The National Democratic Congress' (NDC's) Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has reiterated the party's commitment to establishing a state-of-the-art fertility centre if it wins the upcoming December 7 general elections.

Speaking to NDC supporters at Camp Junction in the Bia East Constituency during her three-day campaign tour of the Western North Region on Wednesday, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang highlighted the financial burden many couples face when seeking fertility treatments.

She emphasized that the proposed fertility centre would offer affordable services to families struggling with fertility issues.

Additionally, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang announced plans for a new 500-bed children’s hospital as part of the NDC’s healthcare agenda.

She also touched on the issue of sanitary pads for female students, pledging that the next NDC government would reinstate the free provision of sanitary pads to basic school students.

"When the NDC was in power, we provided free sanitary pads, but our opponents politicized the initiative, spreading misinformation.

As a result, the programme was halted, negatively impacting female students' education," she explained.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang assured that under an NDC government, access to sanitary pads would no longer hinder the education of girls in Ghana.

She urged voters to support John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming elections to allow him to deliver on his vision of revitalizing the nation and improving the lives of all Ghanaians
