Appointments Committee vets Omane Boamah today
The Appointments Committee of Parliament will today, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, vet five ministerial nominees as part of the approval process for key government appointments made by President John Dramani Mahama.
The vetting session will commence at 9:00 am with Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Minister-designate for Defence.
He will be followed at 11:00 am by Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, MP, who has been nominated as Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.
In the afternoon, at 1:00 pm, Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing and Water Resources, will take his turn before the committee.
At 3:00 pm, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, will face vetting for the position of Greater Accra Regional Minister.
The day’s proceedings will conclude at 5:00 pm with the vetting of Charity Gardiner, the Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region.
