Asiedu Nketia urges Asokore residents to back NDC for more development
The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has called on residents of Asokore in the Asawase Constituency of the Ashanti Region to vote overwhelmingly for the NDC in the upcoming elections to secure further developmental projects for the area.
Speaking at a durbar held in Asokore, Asiedu Nketia questioned why the residents often vote against the NDC despite the party's contributions to their development.
“The NDC has constructed good roads, elevated this area to a municipal and district capital, and initiated several projects to improve your lives, yet the votes we get from Asokore are not as encouraging as they should be,” he remarked.
He acknowledged that the NDC consistently wins the Asawase Constituency but noted that results from the Asokore Electoral Area often fall short of expectations.
He urged residents to “upgrade their voting skills” by supporting the party with stronger numbers in the December elections, promising even greater development in return.
The Member of Parliament for Asawase, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, also addressed the gathering, expressing gratitude to the people for electing him five times and urging them to make it a sixth consecutive victory.
Muntaka assured residents that he remains committed to fulfilling his promises and improving the constituency, highlighting the NDC’s track record as the only party prioritizing the area’s development.
“I am confident the NDC will deliver even more when given the mandate to govern,” the MP stated, encouraging residents to rally behind the party to ensure progress in Asawase.
