Bawumia to embark on nationwide “Thank You Tour” on April 26

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to commence a nationwide “Thank You Tour” beginning Saturday, April 26, 2025.
The tour, which has received the endorsement of the Party’s National Council, aims to show profound appreciation to NPP members and the Ghanaian public for their steadfast support throughout the 2024 general elections.
Held under the theme “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), the initiative reflects the party’s recognition of divine guidance and its gratitude for the collective contributions that shaped the NPP’s electoral journey.
Dr. Bawumia, alongside the leadership and campaign team of the NPP, will use the tour to reconnect with grassroots supporters, celebrate their efforts, and reaffirm the party’s commitment to unity and progress.
The tour will commence in the Western Region on April 26, and continue through all sixteen regions of the country. Notable stops include the Ashanti Region from April 29 to May 1, and Greater Accra from May 10 to 12. The tour is expected to conclude in the Central Region on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.
Each regional engagement will feature constituency-level gatherings, allowing for direct interaction with supporters and the strengthening of party structures at the local level.
The nationwide initiative will culminate in interfaith national thanksgiving services involving both Christian and Islamic communities, highlighting the NPP’s inclusive approach and reverence for Ghana’s religious diversity.
The party has called on all members and supporters to participate in the events scheduled in their respective areas actively, emphasising that this tour is not only a gesture of appreciation but also a celebration of unity and shared purpose within the NPP and the broader Ghanaian democratic landscape.
