Kennedy Agyapong leads Bawumia and others on NPP ballot

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has successfully conducted the balloting exercise to determine the order of candidates on the ballot for the Party’s upcoming Presidential Primary scheduled for January 31, 2026.
The exercise, supervised by officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana, was organised by the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) of the Party at its headquarters in Accra.
Following the draw, the order of appearance on the ballot paper is as follows:
Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong
Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong
H. E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia
Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum
Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong
In an official statement signed by Mr. William Yamoah, Secretary to the Presidential Elections Committee, the Party expressed gratitude to all presidential aspirants, their representatives, and Electoral Commission officials for their cooperation and decorum during the process.
The Committee reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, fairness, and adherence to the highest democratic standards as the party prepares for a competitive and peaceful internal election.
The upcoming primary will determine who leads the opposition NPP into the 2028 general elections, as the party seeks to recapture power.
