Movement for Change to transition into a full political party- Afia Korankyewaa

The Movement for Change is gearing up to transition into a fully-fledged political party, according to Afia Korankyewaa, a Communication Team Member of the group.
Speaking on Ghana Yensom on Accra 100.5 FM with host Kaakyire Appea-Apreku, Korankyewaa outlined the group’s plans to register as a political party and elect leaders at all levels, including flagbearer, constituency, regional, and national executives, going into the 2028 general elections.
Ms Korankyewaa explained that the Movement for Change seeks to “bring back the old NPP,” positioning itself as a credible alternative in Ghana’s political landscape.
She noted that the group was initially formed to rally support for the presidential ambitions of Mr. Alan Kyerematen, uniting members and followers around his vision for the country.
Emphasising the party’s guiding principles, Ms Korankyewaa said the new political entity will be rooted in moral values, discipline, and democracy. She called on Ghanaians who share these ideals to prepare to support what she described as a “new government in waiting.”
