Heal Ghana Month has commenced with a significant boost following a GHS200,000 donation from the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund.

The donation marks one of the first major corporate contributions under the Heal Ghana initiative, a national campaign aimed at mobilising support for Ghanaians battling chronic Non-Communicable Diseases.

A high-powered ADB delegation, led by Prof. Ferdinand Makafui Ahiakpor, Deputy Managing Director, paid a visit to the Fund’s Secretariat to present the cheque and reaffirm the Bank’s commitment to social responsibility.

He was accompanied by Mr. Enock Donkoh, General Manager, and Mr. Jalaludeen A. Adam, Head of Parastatals and Institutional Banking.

The gesture underscores ADB’s dedication to supporting critical healthcare interventions and easing the burden on patients and families affected by long-term illnesses.

Heal Ghana evolved from the February campaign dubbed Kyɛre Wo Dɔ (Show Your Love), which sought to inspire acts of generosity toward vulnerable patients.

The initiative has since grown into a broader national movement, rallying institutions and individuals alike to contribute to life-saving medical support.

With ADB setting the pace, Corporate Ghana is expected to follow suit in what organisers describe as a collective mission to restore hope and dignity to patients across the country.

As Heal Ghana Month gathers momentum, the Administrator of the Fund, Adwoa Oboubia Darko-Opoku, is urging more organisations to step forward and contribute to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, emphasising that healing the nation requires a united and sustained effort
