Ahafo: MASLOC CEO opens new district office in Tano South
The Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC), Abigail Elorm Mensah, has undertaken a working visit to the Ahafo Region as part of efforts to expand financial inclusion for traders and women-led businesses.
The visit, which took place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, focused on engaging market women and small business operators, particularly in Hwidiem and Bechem, to promote access to credit and support local enterprise development.
As part of her tour, Madam Mensah paid a courtesy call on the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, and also met various women’s groups at district assemblies.
She further opened a new MASLOC district office at the Tano South District Assembly to improve service delivery and strengthen outreach to beneficiaries.
Addressing traders, the MASLOC CEO outlined the loan application process and stressed the importance of timely repayment, noting that the scheme operates as a revolving fund designed to benefit more entrepreneurs over time.
She encouraged beneficiaries to invest prudently in their businesses to promote sustainable livelihoods and contribute to local economic growth.
