The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, together with members of management, has paid a courtesy call on the National House of Chiefs in Kumasi to discuss ongoing reforms and the strategic direction of the country’s gold sector.

The engagement formed part of efforts to deepen stakeholder collaboration, enhance transparency, and promote sustainable development within Ghana’s mining and mineral value chain.

During the meeting, the GoldBod management team briefed the House of Chiefs on operational updates, regulatory reforms, and initiatives aimed at improving accountability and efficiency in the gold industry.

The visit also provided an opportunity for traditional leaders to engage with management on issues relating to local participation, resource governance, and community benefits from mining activities.

The National House of Chiefs welcomed the engagement, describing it as an important step in strengthening cooperation between state institutions and traditional authorities in the management of Ghana’s natural resources.

The courtesy call is part of broader stakeholder consultations being undertaken by GoldBod to build consensus around reforms and ensure inclusive participation in the governance of the country’s gold sector.
