Gov't intensifies preparations for World Shea Expo
The Director of Agribusiness Development at the Office of the President, Peter Boamah Otokunor, has held a strategic meeting with representatives from the International Labour Organisation and Savanna Golden Tree Limited ahead of this year’s World Shea Expo.
The meeting focused on preparatory activities for the event, as well as Ghana’s broader strategy to promote its shea sector on the global stage.
Discussions highlighted efforts by the government to leverage the economic potential of the shea industry to drive sustainable job creation and accelerate national development.
Dr. Otokunor emphasised the importance of strengthening partnerships with international organisations and private sector players to expand market access and enhance value addition within the sector.
The World Shea Expo is expected to serve as a key platform for showcasing Ghana’s shea industry, attracting investment and promoting trade opportunities for local producers.
