NEIP engages global partners at British Council’s going Global 2025 Conference in London
The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has highlighted the valuable connections and strategic partnerships forged during the British Council’s Going Global 2025 Conference held in London, describing the engagement as a major step toward strengthening Ghana’s entrepreneurship and startup ecosystem.
Led by the Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Mr George Opare Addo, the NEIP delegation held a series of strategic meetings with representatives from Georgia, Mauritius, and Egypt — countries that have recently made significant progress in developing vibrant startup ecosystems.
The discussions focused on sharing success stories, learning from effective innovation models, and exploring collaborative opportunities to support young entrepreneurs in Ghana.
During the engagements, NEIP Chief Executive Officer, Eric Adjei, presented 'The Adwumawura Programme — President John Dramani Mahama’s visionary initiative designed to nurture Ghana’s next generation of entrepreneurs and create globally competitive “unicorn” companies.
According to the NEIP, the new partnerships formed at the conference are expected to pave the way for high-impact collaborations that will drive innovation, job creation, and sustainable economic growth across the country.
“These interactions were not just about sharing experiences but about building strong international alliances that will help us accelerate Ghana’s national entrepreneurship goals,” the NEIP stated.
The British Council’s Going Global Conference serves as one of the world’s premier platforms for education, innovation, and international collaboration — bringing together policymakers, educators, and industry leaders to discuss strategies for advancing knowledge economies.
