VIP Jeoun Transport announces nationwide fare increase effective April 8
VIP Jeoun Transport has announced an upward adjustment in its transport fares, set to take effect from Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
In a statement issued by management on April 7, the company indicated that the fare review applies to its executive coach services across multiple routes nationwide.
Under the new pricing structure, passengers travelling from Accra to major destinations will see revised fares, including GHS150 for Accra–Kumasi, GHS200 for Accra–Sunyani, GHS360 for Accra–Tamale, and GHS450 for Accra–Hamile.
Other routes such as Accra–Wa, Accra–Bolgatanga, and Accra–Bawku have also been adjusted to GHS390, GHS410, and GHS430 respectively.
The company also announced new fares for intercity routes originating from Kumasi, with Kumasi–Sunyani set at GHS70, Kumasi–Tamale at GHS210, and Kumasi–Wa at GHS240, among others.
Management did not immediately state the reasons for the fare increment, but the adjustment is expected to affect commuters and long-distance travellers across the country.
Passengers have been advised to take note of the changes and plan their journeys accordingly, while those seeking further clarification can contact the company through its official enquiry lines.
The fare review adds to ongoing adjustments within Ghana’s transport sector, as operators respond to prevailing economic conditions.
