Afua Asantewaa Aduonum completes 121-hour singathon in second Guinness World Record attempt
Ghanaian media personality and entrepreneur Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has successfully completed her second attempt at the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, clocking an impressive 121 hours and 39 minutes.
The singathon began on Saturday, 21 December 2024, in Kumasi, where Afua was cheered on by enthusiastic fans and supporters throughout the duration of the event.
Her remarkable stamina and vocal ability captivated the audience, with many applauding her determination and passion.
Following the conclusion of her attempt, Afua took to X to thank Ghanaians for their unwavering support.
“Hello, Ghana! I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your amazing support during my Guinness World Records Longest Singing Marathon Individual attempt,” she posted.
This was Afua Asantewaa’s second attempt at the world record.
Her first attempt in December 2023 gained significant attention, especially for the viral moment when she exclaimed: “It’s like there’s something running…” after briefly losing her voice during the challenge.
