GTA CEO receives Ghana Women of Excellence Gold Award
The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority, Maame Efua Houadjeto, has been honoured with the Ghana Women of Excellence Gold Award at the Ghana Women of Excellence Awards held to commemorate International Women’s Day 2026.
The recognition was conferred during the 11th edition of the awards ceremony held at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel.
The event brought together distinguished personalities, leaders and advocates for women’s empowerment to celebrate women who have made notable contributions to national development.
Mrs. Houadjeto received the honour in the Corporate Communications category in recognition of her contribution to Ghana’s social and economic development, particularly through her leadership and strategic communication efforts within the tourism sector.
The award was presented by Joyce Rosalind Aryee, Executive Director of Salt and Light Ministries, who commended the award recipients for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to advancing national development.
