Ghana showcases tourism potential in Russia at high-level trade mission
Ghana made a strong impression on the international stage during a high-level Trade and Tourism Mission in Russia from 16th to 20th February 2026.
The mission was led by Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), who represented the country in strategic discussions and investor engagements aimed at promoting Ghana as a culturally rich and investment-ready destination.
During the event, Mrs Houadjeto addressed plenary sessions, participated as a panelist in key trade and tourism discussions, and held targeted meetings with high-level investors to highlight opportunities within Ghana’s tourism sector.
A standout moment of the mission was the showcase of Ghana’s indigenous textile, Fugu, at the trade exhibition. The display attracted significant interest, underscoring the commercial potential of Ghana’s cultural assets on the global market.
