150 diasporan individuals granted Ghanaian citizenship
A total of 150 individuals have officially been granted citizenship of Ghana, marking a significant step in strengthening the country’s ties with members of the global community.
The newly naturalised citizens were congratulated by the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom(UK) for choosing Ghana as their home and for embracing the nation’s values and opportunities.
The High Commission, in a statement, noted that the decision by the individuals to become citizens reflects Ghana’s growing reputation as a welcoming destination for people from different parts of the world seeking to contribute to national development.
The new citizens are expected to play a role in Ghana’s social and economic growth by bringing diverse experiences, skills and perspectives to support the country’s development.
The High Commission also expressed optimism that the move will further strengthen Ghana’s connection with the international community while promoting cultural exchange and cooperation.
