B/R: No evidence so far to prove robbery on Berekum-Drobo road seen in viral video
The Bono Regional Police Command has said there is no evidence for a robbery on the Berekum-Drobo Road suggested in a viral video.
The robbery is said to have taken place on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Police said per preliminary checks conducted at police stations within the Bono Region, and across all police stations nationwide, as well as verification with the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), no such incident had been reported.
"We would like to urge anyone with credible information regarding the alleged incident to report to the nearest police station to assist with ongoing inquiries," police urged in a statement.
The Ghana Police Service said their Cyber Crime Unit was taking steps to identify and invite the individuals behind the publication of the video to assist with ongoing investigations into the matter, "and anyone found culpable would be made to face the law".
The statment concluded with a caution against publication of false news.
