Chief of Defence Staff pays courtesy call on Ga Mantse
The Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces, William Agyapong, has led a high-level military delegation on a courtesy visit to the Ga Traditional Council in Accra.
The visit was aimed at formally introducing himself to the Ga Mantse, Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, following his appointment by the President of Ghana.
Lieutenant General Agyapong and his delegation were received by the Ga Mantse and members of the Ga Traditional Council during the engagement, which highlighted the longstanding relationship between traditional authorities and the security services.
The courtesy call also provided an opportunity for the new military chief to interact with traditional leaders and reaffirm the Ghana Armed Forces’ commitment to peace, security, and national development.
The visit forms part of ongoing stakeholder engagements by the Chief of Defence Staff since assuming office.
