DVLA CEO engages Turkish ambassador on bilateral cooperation and modernisation efforts
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Huseyin Gungor as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation and advance the modernisation of the Authority.
The meeting focused on exploring areas of collaboration aimed at leveraging Turkish innovations and expertise to improve DVLA operations and service delivery.
Discussions centred on the possibility of strategic exchange programmes that would enhance the technical capacity of DVLA staff and support the adoption of modern systems and best practices.
Mr. Kotey noted that such partnerships are critical to ensuring that the DVLA remains robust, efficient and responsive to the needs of the public, particularly as the Authority continues to roll out reforms to improve road safety, vehicle registration and licensing services.
The engagement underscores the DVLA’s commitment to international cooperation and knowledge-sharing as key tools for institutional development and improved public service delivery.
