Defence Ministry appears before PAC over KAIPTC financial performance
The Ministry of Defence, led by the Deputy Minister, Mr. Ernest Brogya Genfi, on Monday, November 3, 2025, appeared before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament to respond to queries concerning the financial performance of the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC).
The session focused on the 2024 financial statements of the KAIPTC, with particular attention to the increase in operating income and direct costs recorded during the year under review.
Mr. Brogya Genfi provided detailed explanations to the Committee, outlining the factors that accounted for the financial adjustments.
He assured Members of Parliament of the Ministry’s commitment to prudent financial management, transparency, and accountability across all its institutions.
Members of the Committee commended the Deputy Minister for his clarity, openness, and professionalism, as well as the Ministry’s continued dedication to upholding fiscal discipline and efficiency within the defence sector.
The Deputy Minister was accompanied by Madam Comfort Kyeremeh, Director of Human Resources at the Ministry of Defence; Brigadier General Zibrim Bawah Ayorrogo, Deputy Commandant of the KAIPTC; and other senior officials of the Centre.
