Deputy Minister urges youth to uphold forefathers' values at 69th Independence Day

The Deputy Minister for Works, Housing and Water Resources and MP for Awutu Senya West in the Central Region, Hon. Gizella Tetteh Agbotui, has urged Ghanaian youth to embrace their forefathers' values to promote national unity and development.

Speaking at the 69th Independence Day celebration in Awutu Senya West, she emphasised unity among residents and support for government development efforts.

She advised youth to uphold positive values, noting they're the future leaders.

Hon. Gizella Tetteh Agbotui announced Awutu Senya West will soon be elevated to Municipal status, accelerating development and improving service delivery.

She highlighted the need for residents to work together to achieve prosperity and restore hope.

The District Chief Executive(DCE) for the area, Mr Kalala Nyamekye Eghan, on his part pledged the Assembly's commitment to development projects, highlighting ongoing collaborations with the MP to improve infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Nai Ayiku Tetteh, Obaatan of Awutu Obrachire, cautioned schoolchildren to avoid drugs and social vices, emphasising education's importance for a brighter future.

The celebration included a parade by schools, cadet groups, and a brass band, showcasing patriotism and cultural values.
