EEZZY Group injects power, mobility into farming as private sector steps up for National Farmers’ Day
If Ghana’s agriculture must transform, then farmers need more than applause. They need tools, mobility, and power.
That was the message behind EEZZY Group Foundation’s latest intervention — a full package of mechanization and mobility support worth millions of cedis, presented to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture ahead of the 42nd National Farmers’ Day on December 4, 2026.
Led by CEO Mr Mohammed Raii, the foundation donated:
- 1 brand-new Nissan pickup truck for the National Best Farmer
- 20 brand-new motorcycles to support extension services and event logistics
- 1 brand-new modern agricultural tractor with complete accessories to boost mechanized farming
Presenting the items at the ministry in Accra, Mr Raii said the donation goes beyond prizes. It’s about productivity.
“Agriculture is life. Without agriculture, there is no nation and no future. Supporting our farmers means supporting every Ghanaian family,” he said.
He tied the gesture directly to President John Dramani Mahama’s Agriculture for Economic Transformation Agenda, which prioritizes modernization, jobs and food security.
“I have never seen a leader who thinks more about the future of this great country than President John Dramani Mahama. His commitment to agriculture is inspiring, and we are honoured to support this vision,” Mr Raii added.
He also thanked Samson Deen for brokering the partnership with the Ministry.
Receiving the donation, Minister for Food and Agriculture Eric Opoku said the 2026 National Best Farmer will walk away with one of the biggest prize packages in history:
- A brand-new Nissan pickup truck from EEZZY Group
- GH¢1.2 million cash
- A brand-new agricultural tractor
- Assorted modern farm inputs and equipment
The ministry has also secured two additional pickup trucks from other corporates and a 50-seater bus for the Best SHS in Practical Agriculture.
Opoku praised EEZZY Group for “exceptional corporate social responsibility” and challenged other businesses to follow suit.
“Every donation will be distributed transparently to deserving farmers, just as we did last year,” he assured.
With Deputy Food & Agriculture Minister John Dumelo chairing the National Planning Committee, the ministry will soon release official bank details for public contributions.
But for EEZZY Group, the goal is clear: put real assets in farmers’ hands.
By delivering a tractor for mechanization, a pickup for market access, and motorcycles for extension, the Foundation is directly tackling 3 of agriculture’s biggest bottlenecks.
“As Ghana prepares for National Farmers’ Day under the theme ‘Our Farmers, Our Food, Our Future,’ this partnership shows that when Government and private sector pull together, our farmers get the recognition and resources they deserve,” Minister Eric Opoku said.
