Energy Minister hails NPA boss as “young, intelligent and dynamic” at 20th anniversary
The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor, used the 20th anniversary celebration of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) to spotlight the exceptional leadership qualities of the Authority’s Chief Executive, Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo.
According to him, the CEO’s performance has been instrumental in strengthening the downstream petroleum sector.
In a heartfelt commendation, the Minister described Mr Tameklo as a model of modern public-sector leadership.
“Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo ESQ is a very young, intelligent, sharp and dynamic lawyer. In fact, anytime there is a challenge, he offers very workable solutions and I appreciate him for that,” Mr Jinapor declared.
He noted that the NPA CEO’s proactive approach has ensured swift responses to regulatory challenges, maintaining stability in a sector that plays a central role in Ghana’s energy framework.
Mr Jinapor said such leadership is essential at a time when global energy systems are rapidly evolving.
The Minister added that Mr Tameklo’s problem-solving skills and technical depth have injected fresh momentum into the Authority, helping position it for the next phase of energy transition and market reform.
Mr Jinapor urged the NPA to sustain this standard of leadership, emphasising that Ghana’s energy future requires individuals who combine expertise with innovation, as demonstrated by its current Chief Executive.
