Former Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Adam dies
Former Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Adam has reportedly died.
An animal scientist by profession, Ibrahim Adam first served as Agriculture Secretary before becoming Minister for Food and Agriculture during the administration late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
He later entered Parliament, representing the Choggu/Tishigu Constituency from 1997 to 2001.
His public service extended beyond politics, with Ibrahim Adam also serving as Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank.
News of his death has since attracted tributes, with Sagnarigu MP Atta Issah mourning him as a mentor whose “wisdom, dedication, and service” left an impression on those who knew him.
“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Hon. Ibrahim Adam. I offer my heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Northern region, and the entire NDC. From near and afar I learned much from his wisdom, dedication, and service. May Allah forgive his shortcomings, grant him mercy, and receive him into Jannah. Ameen,” Issah wrote.
Further details about his death are yet to be officially announced.
