Ghana's Deputy Head of Mission and Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Sanni Jajah, has died.

He died on the evening of Saturday, August 9, according to his nephew, Yussif Jajah, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso North, who announced the death in a Facebook post.

The MP described the loss as a heavy blow to the family and appealed to the public to keep them in their thoughts and prayers.

He said further details on funeral arrangements and burial would be communicated by the family in due course.

Sanni Jajah was appointed Deputy Head of Mission at Ghana's Embassy in Saudi Arabia on September 11, 2025, by President John Dramani Mahama.

He served alongside Ghana's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Said Sinare, playing a role in managing consular operations and supporting Ghanaian citizens in the Kingdom — including assisting Ghanaian nationals, particularly pilgrims travelling to Saudi Arabia for the annual Hajj.

The circumstances surrounding his death have not been made public.
